Capichera VT is a white wine with a strong character , produced in Sardinia starting from a late harvest of Vermentino grapes in purity. Its peculiarity lies in the vinification in barrique, in fact it is considered the wine that best represents the high quality of Capichera wines.
Tasting notesIn the glass, the Capichera VT has a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose releases intense and complex aromas reminiscent of orange blossom , lemons , aromatic herbs, wisteria, lavender and finally licorice and honey. In the mouth it is dry but at the same time warm and rich , with citrus and honey notes . It closes on a long finish with good persistence . Ideal to serve during a romantic dinner based on shellfish and fish main courses.
Following the harvest that takes place in September-October, Capichera VT ferments in steel tanks for about 4 weeks and ages in barriques for 6 to 8 months . Finally it matures from 4 to 6 months in the bottle and is released on the market no earlier than two years after the harvest .
