Torrette by Les Cretes is a fresh and alpine red wine that comes from a blend of Petit Rouge with other indigenous varieties including Cornalin Fumin and Mayolet. The vines grow in the territories of Aymavilles, St Pierre, Gressan and St Christophie in Valle d'Aosta, here the soils are sandy and moraine characterized by strong slopes. A label able to tell the authenticity and purity of this region.

    Tasting notes

In the glass, the Torrette di Les Cretes has a ruby red color. A fresh and delicate red, on the nose it releases light floral aromas of rose hips and violets and fruity aromas of red fruits. The taste, on the other hand, is delicate and elegant characterized by a subtle acidity and a clear finish. It goes well with mixed starters, cured meats and first courses, excellent with cheeses and roasted or grilled meats and ideal with stewed white meats.

Following the harvest, the must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature for 8 days . Subsequently the Torrette di Les Cretes ages in stainless steel for 6 months and is finally put on the market.

    The cellar

The company was founded in 1989 and from the beginning has shown an important attention to the territory, experimenting with organic and biodynamic. Following these principles and consequently minimizing the use of chemicals, Les Cretes produces elegant and pure wines known throughout the peninsula capable of expressing all the essence of the Aosta Valley mountains. Strong and fresh white and red wines, each of them with exceptional characteristics.
