Description

Timorasso Derthona is a white wine from the Mariotto winery, fruity and mineral that comes from vineyards with about 40 years of age.

Tasting notes

In the glass the Timorasso Derthona has a straw yellow color of medium intensity. The nose gives off soft fruity scents with a long flint finish . The taste is mineral accompanied by notes of chamomile and plums. Finally it closes with a finish of toasted almond notes. Excellent in combination with shellfish and aged cheeses.

Processing

Following the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed and subsequently fermented at a controlled temperature. Finally the Timorasso Derthona rests for a few months on the fine lees in steel.

The cellar

The Maiotto company was founded in 1920 by "Bepi", great-grandfather of the current owner. The winery owns 26 hectares of vineyards located in various locations in the Tortona Hills. To date, the Claudio Mariotto winery represents an important reality both nationally and internationally for its production of quality wines and great value. From Timorasso to Barbare, Mariotto's labels have received various awards and recognitions, attesting to the validity and commitment of the family that for generations has been committed to producing real oenological pearls.
