Description
The Solaia of the Antinori winery was born in the best plot of the Tignanello hill. Solaia is produced with the most selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese grapes from the vineyard of the same name. A Tuscan wine perhaps the most famous in the world capable of a surprising longevity.
Tasting notes
The Solaia di Antinori in the glass has an intense ruby red color, the nose releases intense warm notes of ripe red fruit and spices and touches of floral notes. In the mouth it is rich, enveloping and sweet with ready, thick and soft tannins.
Processing
This Tuscan red is aged in barrique for about 12 months and finally rests for a year in the bottle before being put on the market.
The cellar
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Through 26 generations, the Antinori family has always managed this business directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, and always maintaining the respect for traditions and for the territory unchanged. Today the company is managed by the Marquis Piero Antinori, with the support of the three daughters all personally involved in the business activities. A path made of tradition, passion and intuition: the Antinori Marquises have established themselves as one of the main Italian wine producers.
