Description
Rosso di Marco Conati is a red wine produced from a blend of grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Merlot, Teroldego, Oseleta and Croatina. This red comes from the idea of combining native vines with international blends, giving life to an elegant and high quality wine.
Tasting notes
Rosso di Marco di Conati has a ruby red color tending to purplish. The nose is slightly spicy with notes of red fruit, currant and blackberry. On the palate it is dense and enveloping with intense but soft tannins and a persistent finish reminiscent of tobacco and licorice. This red by Marco Conati is ideal in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
Processing
At the base of this red we find different ripening periods of the varieties and the complete ripening of the grapes on the plant. After manual harvesting, the grapes are brought to the cellar and vinified separately. Subsequently we proceed with a long cold maceration and then the wine ferments at controlled temperatures with daily pumping over and soft processing of the cap. This Rosso di Marco Conati ages for 24-16 months in oak tonneaux and then the grapes are blended. Subsequently, the wine rests in concrete tanks for a few months before being bottled. The Cellar
The Conati farm is located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica and has been producing wines since 1900: Amarone, Valpolicella and Recioto. The tradition of the company is now under the command of his son Marco who has increased the production of Valpolicella and Amarone and improved the quality of his products.
