Description
Carúpano Reserva Privada 21 is a high quality rum produced in Venezuela in the Macarapana Valley area starting from local Molasses .
Tasting notes
At sight it has a dark amber color crossed by mahogany reflections. On the nose , caramel notes immediately stand out, evolving and giving way to woody hints of coconut and toasted nuts . In the mouth the entrance is enveloping with toasted notes of coconut, vanilla and caramel , the finish is long and sweet where the hints of coconut and brown sugar persist. Ideal to serve with ice and orange.
Processing
The distillation of Carúpano Reserva Privada takes place in column stills . A Rum that comes from a blend of stocks aged up to 21 years in American white oak barrels .
The distillery
The Carúpano Distillery dates back to 1762 when what is now called Añejo Rum was produced for the first time in Venezuela. Today this Ron follows the Venezuelan disciplinary, falling within the DO C. The microclimate of the area, the very pure water used and the 250 years of experience in blending make this distillate extraordinary.
