Description
The Primitivo di Manduria Zampillato of the Tocci estates is an Apulian wine produced with selected grapes grown in the vineyards of the municipality of Carosino.
Tasting Notes
The Primitivo di Manduria Gushed into the glass has a deep and elegant ruby red color, with complex aromas of plums, cherry jam and notes of tobacco, slightly spicy. A full-bodied wine, rich in noble tannins. It closes with a finish of cocoa, coffee and vanilla notes.
Processing
Following the manual harvest, the grapes macerate for 10-12 days. After alcoholic fermentation and racking, the Primitivo di Manduria Zampillato rests in stainless steel. Finally it ages in first-passage French oak barriques for 6 months.
