    Description

The Pinot Noir of the Franz Haas winery is a red wine that stands out for its class and elegance , and is considered by Franz Haas the "white among reds". The Pinot Noir grapes come from vines located on the hills of Mazzon, Gleno and Montagna.

    Tasting notes

This red varies its color tone as the year progresses, from light to intense ruby red. The nose opens with notes of cherries and raspberries that combine with aromas of marzipan, plum jam, cloves and cinnamon and closes on sensations of undergrowth . In the mouth it is fresh and lively with elegant tannins that give an aromatic and round taste . Franz Haas' Pinot Noir is excellent to combine with light fish dishes or red meats and roasts of game.

    Processing

The vinification of this Pinot Noir takes place in open tanks , here the must ferments in contact with the skins undergoing frequent pumping over and punching down. Subsequently the wine matures in barrique for a year and after bottling it rests for a few months in glass before being put on the market.

    The cellar

The Franz Haas winery was founded in 1880 and is considered one of the oldest and most important wineries in South Tyrol. Maximum respect for the environment and for the vines give rise to bottles able to excite with its typical aromas of the mountain area. The choice to use a screw cap is a quality choice made to guarantee the customer a wine not altered by the cork, which can be stored longer. Franz Haas' bottle labels are designed by the famous artist Riccardo Schweizer.
