Description
Stanislao Radikon's Oslavje 2013 is a wine of character, produced without the use of chemicals in the vineyard and sulfur in the cellar.
It is a mythical wine, which made Radikon known throughout the world. A careful blend based on chardonnay, pinot grigio and sauvignon resulting from a long maceration on the skins and a very long maturation in large oak barrels that reveals itself in all its beauty in the glass.
It is harvested in September exclusively by hand, with the harvested grapes placed in small boxes and then left to macerate on the skins in oak vats without temperature control and without the addition of selected yeasts; this wine remains in contact with the skins for 3-4 months and takes on that typical coppery and orange color that has always distinguished Radikon's 2013 Oslavje. A white wine that is close to the most important reds and that takes some fundamental ideas from red wines for tasting. On the nose it is complex and persistent: it passes from notes of rose and apricot to those of hazelnut and almond, with a spicy finish. It is fresh, soft, with a full-bodied finish.
