Prunotto Nebbiolo is a full and harmonious red wine that comes from the vineyard of the same name in the province of Cuneo. Here the grapes grow on soils characterized by shallow sands with gravel levels and clay-limestone intercalations.

    Tasting notes

In the glass, Nebbiolo di Prunotto has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose gives off elegant aromas of raspberry , roses and licorice . In the mouth it is full and harmonious with a good persistence . A red wine for the whole meal, ideal to be enjoyed during a dinner with friends paired with a land-based menu.

After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar, then they are de-stemmed and finally pressed. Then the maceration in steel takes place for a duration of 7 days during which the malolactic fermentation also takes place. Finally the Nebbiolo is aged for 18 months in oak barrels before being bottled. Before being put on the market, the wine ages for a further 4 months in the bottle.

    The cellar

The Prunotto winery is located in Alba, the most important center of the Langhe. This estate is owned by the Antinori family which has led Prunotto to be today one of the most significant companies in the panorama of Piedmontese wine production. Great, elegant and refined wines that express and enhance the characteristics of the territory while respecting Piedmontese traditions.
