Description
The Spumante Rosè by Nicola Gatta comes from 100% Pinot Nero grapes , this rosé, the only product from the winery, is aged for 60 months (moons) on the lees. A classic method produced as it once was.
Tasting notes
In the glass, Nicola Gatta's Rosè has an intense color and a fine and persistent bubble . On the nose it releases fruity notes of raspberry , currant , strawberry and hints of red flowers enriched by memories of pastry and dried fruit . In the mouth it is creamy with a vibrant freshness and savory notes . Excellent to combine with raw fish and shellfish.
Processing
The vinification of this rosé by Nicola Gatta consists of a short maceration and subsequently a spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts. Finally, this classic method refines for 60 months on the lees without any addition of sugar during disgorgement.
The cellar
The Nicola Gatta company was born in Giussano in the province of Brescia , which produces sparkling wines according to the classic method . The productions take place following the principles of biodynamic agriculture in the vineyard while in the cellar the fermentations take place spontaneously . Even though his labels are produced in the Franciacorta area, they do not belong to the consortium, a choice that Nicola made to leave maximum expressiveness to the territory without the constraints of the denomination. Surprising , elegant and characterful wines with rustic aromas.
