The Mille e una Notte by Donnafugata is a red wine, icon of style and elegance of the cellar, it is enveloping and fragrant and born from a mix of Nero d'Avola , Petit Verdot and Syrah grapes. The label represents the palace where Queen Maria Carolina took refuge on the run from Naples.
In the glass the Mille e una Notte by Donnafugata shows a ruby red color. On the nose the bouquet is wide and deep in which notes of black berry fruit such as mulberry and currant, balsamic hints of licorice and nuances of cocoa and vanilla stand out. In the mouth it is soft and intense , with a fine and delicate tannin , it closes on a long and persistent finish .
After a careful selection, the grapes are harvested manually and taken to the cellar where further sorting takes place. Subsequently the grapes ferment in steel for 14 days , after which they refine in new French oak barriques . Finally, the Mille e una Notte by Donnafugata is bottled and rests for another 20 months in glass before being put on the market.
The Donnafugata company was founded in the 1980s with the aim of representing the artisan and creative excellence of Made in Italy.
