Description

The Merlot Redigaffi of the Tua Rita winery is a red that comes from the vineyards of the Alta Maremma and takes its name from the stream that flows near the property.

Tasting notes

In the glass this Merlot has a bright and intense ruby red color. It opens with a complex bouquet and releases aromas of ripe black fruits, currant, blueberry and blackberry combined with spicy and licorice notes. A red wine of great balance, with noble tannins and a long and satisfying finish.

Processing

The grapes are harvested manually, subsequently the Merlot Redigaffi is aged in steel at a controlled temperature, continuing with a further refinement for 18-20 months in French oak barrels of first passage. Finally it rests for a few more months in the bottle.
