Tasting Notes

The Marsala Riserva 2012 by Vito Curatolo has a bright color with amber reflections. The nose has notes of toasted almond, dates, sultanas and vanilla. On the palate it is full and enveloping with a savory finish and good persistence. Ideal to be served fresh between 10 and 14 ° C with aged cheeses, almond paste desserts and with the classic Sicilian cannoli.

After the harvest towards the end of September, we proceed with the destemming and pressing with rollers. Subsequently, maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel at 20-25 ° C for about 7 days. Finally, the marsala ages in Slavonian oak barrels, French and American barriques and tonneaux.
