Description
Castello di Ama L'Apparita 2013 is a red wine produced from pure Merlot grapes, which grow in the care of Chianti Classico in the Bellavista vineyard.
Tasting notes
In Castello di Ama's L'Apparita 2013 glass, it has a deep and brilliant red color with violet reflections. The nose gives off elegant aromas of red fruits to which are added spicy notes of vanilla, black pepper and juniper . In the mouth it is enveloping and savory with velvety tannins and a very persistent finish . It goes very well with roasts and game dishes, but is also excellent as an accompaniment to aged cheeses.
Processing
The harvest takes place at the end of September through manual harvesting of the grapes which are subsequently further selected . Then the fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature with manual pumping over for 25 days . The malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique and finally the Apparita 2013 of Castello di Ama is aged in oak barriques before being bottled.
