Chardonnay di Haderburg is a white wine born in South Tyrol on calcareous and clayey soils. These soils offer the best conditions for the growth of the Chardonnay vine.

    Tasting Notes

The haderburg chardonnay develops all its classic characteristics thanks to its slight acidity. Among the main aromas of this wine stand out apple and toast. It is lively and fruity but reaches its completeness in the most elaborate selections. Its color is straw yellow with greenish reflections, while the flavor is reminiscent of licorice, acacia honey and mugwort. The Hausmannhof wine is a Chardonnay of great charm, which goes very well with first courses with seafood, baked fish or delicate white meats.

After the grape harvest which takes place in mid-September, an ideal period thanks to the cool and breezy climate. Haderburg's Chardonnay is a wine characterized by a long aging in wooden barrels and for this reason it is able to keep intact for years. Its fermentation takes place in 90% steel tanks and 10% barriques, in the latter process it is refined in the yeasts.

    The Cellar

The Haderburg winery was founded by Alois Ochsenreiter in the mid-seventies as a farm producing grapes and apples, later it was converted into a company for the production of wines. The enthusiasm for the excellent quality of the wines and sparkling wines produced in-house now distinguishes both the work between the branches and the barrels of this winery. The quality of their final products are the result of a decisive pruning and a careful selection of the grapes.
