Movia's Gredič 2018 is a white wine that is produced in the wonderful and green hilly region of the Slovenian part of the Collio Gorizia.
This Gredič 2018 is produced by one of the most famous and rich in history of the Slovenian Collio. The origins of the winery date back to the nineteenth century and today at the helm of the company is Ales Kristancic, who has led Movia to be one of the best known names in Goriska Brda. The estate covers about 20 hectares which are cultivated under organic farming, with great attention and love for the land. The company philosophy is a perfect mix between the most ancient peasant traditions and the desire to experiment and innovate, always with the aim of being able to produce wines with an authentic taste and that reflect the typicality of the territory.
In the glass it has an intense light yellow color. The bouquet expresses aromas of wildflowers, aromas of ripe fruit, notes of fresh almond and nuances of aromatic herbs. The sip is rich, ample, with a good structure, satisfying and with a very balanced finish, which closes with a decisive and pleasant flavor. A beautiful example of how a wine can express a territory.
This wine is produced with a slightly late harvest of the best bunches of the Friulano vineyards that are about 25 years old and the fermentation is spontaneous, using only indigenous yeasts. Furthermore, it carries out the malolactic fermentation, matures for 12 months on the fine lees in oak barrels of 30 hectoliters and ends the refinement with a few months in the bottle.
