Description

The 2006 Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore Rosè is a Spumante from the Ferrari winery produced from Pinot Nero grapes with a small percentage of Chardonnay. An excellence of Trentino bubbles.

Tasting notes

The 2006 Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore rosè is a shining salmon pink color, with coppery glows tending towards coral. The nose has delicate hints of rosehip jam and citrus fruits that combine with spicy and mineral notes. On the palate it has a vibrant intensity and a very long sip . Perfect to be enjoyed during aperitifs or dinners in combination with shellfish or cold cuts and salami.

Processing

After manual harvesting, the bunches are transferred to the rooms used for winemaking. Here the first fermentation takes place, in stainless steel containers , while the refermentation takes place in the bottle , according to the principles of the Classic Method . The Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore Rosè then remains on the lees for 11 years , followed by disgorgement and finally bottling.

The cellar

The dream of Giulio Ferrari, founder of the Ferrari winery, was to create in Trentino a wine capable of comparing itself with the best French Champagnes . So that begins to produce a few carefully selected quality bottles . His wines that immediately enter the hearts of the most demanding enthusiasts, elegant, fine and surprising sparkling wines that had never been found in Italy. In the first half of the 1950s, Bruno Lunelli, Ferrari's successor, managed to increase production while maintaining the quality of his labels at all times. Over time the company decides to convert the vineyards to the organic regime by promoting sustainable mountain viticulture . To date, the Ferrari winery is a leader in Italy and represents a symbol of made in Italy wine, with bubbles known all over the world. 15 different labels produced, divided into 5 collections that reflect the criteria of elegance , quality and finesse .
