Description
The Roen of the Tramin winery is a sweet wine born in the heart of South Tyrol from Gewurztraminer grapes. Here the vineyards are cultivated on gravelly, calcareous and clayey soils. The name of this wine derives from the mountain that protects these vineyards.
Tasting Notes
The color of the Roen di Tramin is an intense golden yellow with a great texture. The nose offers warm aromas with notes of exotic fruit in syrup, raisins, dried apricots, candied citrus peel, dried fruit, dried roses, ginger and vanilla. On the palate it is sweet and velvety, it is ideal to accompany desserts and blue cheeses, but also excellent to drink alone as a meditation wine.
Work
For the production of this Roen di Tramin the grapes used are dried in the vineyard and subsequently macerated. After gentle pressing, the wine is fermented and macerated for 12 months in small French wooden barrels. Finally, the Roen further matures in the bottle for a few months.
