The Gattinara Riserva by Antoniolo is an intense and structured wine and represents one of the main examples of viticulture in the north of Piedmont. Its excellent structure is obtained thanks to its geographical position which enjoys favorable climatic conditions.
Tasting notes
The Gattinara Riserva by Antoniolo, at sight, shows a bright ruby red. On the nose, notes of red fruits and violets are combined with spicy hints. On the palate it is well structured with elegant tannins and freshness, on the final mineral and fruity hints.
Processing
Antoniolo's Gattinara Riserva is macerated with indigenous yeasts for 14-16 days and subsequently aged in large oak barrels for 18-30 months, and then aged in the bottle for 12 months.
The Cellar
The Antoniolo winery was born in 1948, in Gattinara, by the hand of Mario Antoniolo, then taken over in 1980 by his daughter Rosanna and finally by his nephews Alberto and Lorella. The secret of the excellence of this company is the great love and respect that the Antoniolo family has for their land, in fact they always try to use simple and minimally invasive methods, putting respect for nature and its biodiversity first.
