    Tasting notes

Gaja's Barbaresco Magnum has a garnet red color, an intense wine both in appearance and in taste. The nose has pleasant hints of dark berry fruit, floral notes of violet and aftertaste of aromatic herbs, white pepper, tobacco and anise. In the mouth it has a powerful but measured structure. the Barbaresco Magnum Gaja is rich and silky, characterized by a good persistence.

This wine is perfect in combination with red meat and game, but also in accompaniment to aged cheeses.

    Processing

The grapes, carefully picked and selected from the 14 owned vineyards, after harvesting ferment in steel containers. Subsequently, the aging takes place for 6 months in barriques and another 18 months in large oak barrels.

    The Cellar

Gaja, a winery that now represents the best of made in Italy viticulture. Founded by Giovanni Gaja who thanks to his commitment has managed to bring his wines all over the world. The winery, located in the historic center of Barbaresco, produces wines in full respect of nature and the ecosystem. Now the winery is led by Giovanni's son, Angelo, who is always looking for the highest quality. Innovation has allowed the winery to express a new face of Piedmontese wine, without becoming too fossilized in tradition, but rather starting from that and innovating.
