Description

Perlè Nero by Ferrari is an extra brut sparkling wine that comes from a careful selection of Pinot Noir grapes, from the best vineyards located in the highest mountainous areas.

Tasting notes

In the glass, Ferrari's Perlè Nero has a bright and luminous golden color with a delicate and persistent perlage. The nose is spectacularly complex, the hints vary from fruity to mineral and from toasted notes to salted butter. The sip is full and soft with an enveloping and persistent finish. This Trento DOC is ideal to accompany fish-based aperitifs.

Processing

After the manual harvest that takes place at the end of September, the production of Ferrari's Perlè Nero takes place in two phases: during the first, the base wine is made, through a white vinification of the grapes. The second phase is instead that of refermentation in the bottle at the end of which the sugar is transformed into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Finally, the sparkling wine rests on the lees in the bottle for at least 6 years.

The Cellar

The dream of Giulio Ferrari, founder of the Ferrari winery, was to create in Trentino a wine capable of comparing itself with the best French Champagnes. So that begins to produce a few carefully selected quality bottles. His wines that immediately enter the hearts of the most demanding enthusiasts, elegant, fine and surprising sparkling wines that had never been found in Italy. In the first half of the 1950s, Bruno Lunelli, Ferrari's successor, managed to increase production while maintaining the quality of his labels at all times. Over time the company decides to convert the vineyards to the organic regime by promoting sustainable mountain viticulture. To date, the Ferrari winery is a leader in Italy and represents a symbol of made in Italy wine, with bubbles known all over the world. 15 different ethics produced divided into 5 collections that reflect the criteria of elegance, quality and finesse.
