Description
Emporia Dry Gin by Caffo distilleries is a Gin produced from Phoenician juniper berries, a variety of juniper that grows in Calabria. This distillate is able to charm the most refined and demanding palates. Excellent to drink straight or as a base for cocktails.
Tasting notes
With a crystalline color, Emporia Gin is a dry but extremely soft gin. From the aromatic bouquet stand out notes of juniper , citrus and spices , in the mouth it is fine and fresh with a tantalizing savory note .
Processing
Juniper berries are infused in the finest neutral alcohol obtained from wheat . This gin comes from a double distillation process, in an ancient copper still, in the final one sea water is added.
The distillery
The Caffo distillery was born at the end of the 19th century in the Etna area, over time the company began to rework ancient recipes of the territory. Caffo immediately conquered the palates of the Sicilian wealthy classes of the early 1900s. Subsequently the company bought other distilleries and today produces liqueurs and grappas inspired by ancient recipes or typical Calabrian products, now famous all over the world.
