Description
The Chianti Riserva Classico by Antinori is a red wine that comes from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes on the Tignanello estate in Tuscany.
Tasting notes
In the glass, the Chianti Riserva di Antinori has a ruby red color, the nose has intense notes of berries, blackberry and cherry that combine with spicy aromas of tobacco and sweet aromas of milk chocolate, with nuances of aromatic herbs and flowers buckets . On the palate it has a good freshness with soft and velvety tan nines . This enveloping red goes well with stewed fish, game dishes and aged cheeses.
Processing
After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the cellar where they are de-stemmed and softly pressed . Subsequently the must ferments in stainless steel tanks . Maceration takes place with gentle pumping over and delestage in order to preserve the sweetness of the tannins . Finally the wine is blended and aged in oak barrels for about a year . After bottling, Antinori's Chianti Riserva ages for a further 12 months in glass .
The Cellar
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Through 26 generations, the Antinori family has always managed this business directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices , and always maintaining the respect for traditions and for the territory unchanged. A path made of tradition, passion and intuition: the Antinori Marquises have established themselves as one of the main Italian wine producers with their labels that have always been a symbol of luxury and nobility.
