    Tasting notes

Golden yellow in color, this Chardonnay opens to the nose with intense and complex aromas . The aromas range from white fruit to hazelnut and vanilla up to hints of banana and candied citron . it also has mineral and spicy nuances while in the mouth it is dense and closes on an elegant and harmonious finish . Ideal in combination with international cuisine or with fish, white and red meats and fondues. Also excellent as an accompaniment to medium and long-aged cheeses.

The grapes are harvested in the second half of September by manual harvest . After a selection, the grapes are refrigerated and pressed into whole bunches and subsequently fermented in French oak barrels . After roasting , the wine ages for 12 months and is finally bottled. Before being put on the market, Les Cretes Chardonnay Cuvée Bois is further refined in the bottle for 1-2 months .
