Description
De Sousa's Champagne Chemins Des Terroirs is a natural wine from vineyards that grow on clay soils in the Vallée de La Marne, France . This champagne comes from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Nero grapes.
Tasting notes
In the glass it has a straw yellow color with light green reflections. On the nose it has citrus, apple and pear confit aromas. In the mouth it is characterized by a good balance between warmth and freshness, with a good persistence. It is excellent to sip during an aperitif, to accompany land appetizers.
Processing
After the manual harvest of the grapes, the Champagne ferments in steel and is strengthened by 30% of reserve wines from 2-3 previous harvests. Finally, its refinement lasts from 3 to 5 years.
The Cellar
Erick De Sousa is a name that has become a reference point for Champagne enthusiasts. The De Sousa family, of Portuguese origins, now owns 11 hectares of vineyards divided between some of the most suitable areas of wine-growing Champagne including Cramant, Avize, Mesnil Sur Oger and Oger. The vines are cultivated following the principles of organic farming and without the use of chemicals or synthetic substances.
