The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino of the Antinori family is a red wine born a few kilometers south of Montalcino, just above the Val d'Orcia. It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, and its name derives from a railway present on the property since the nineteenth century.
Antinori's Brunello di Montalcino has a ruby red color, intense and brilliant . The nose opens with a large bouquet of red fruit and a citrus trail . It also has toasted and evolved aromas , with a spicy imprint and, finally, balsamic notes. The taste is as intense as the perfume and its long persistence amplifies the perception of pleasantness.
This wine is ideal in combination with first and second courses of land, but also in accompaniment with aged cheeses.
After a careful selection of the grapes, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks , subsequently Antinori's Brunello di Montalcino 2016 ages in large oak barrels for over 2 years.
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Through 26 generations, the Antinori family has always managed this business directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, and always maintaining the respect for traditions and the territory unchanged. Today the company is managed by the Marquis Piero Antinori, with the support of the three daughters all personally involved in the business activities. A path made of tradition, passion and intuition: the Antinori Marquises have established themselves as one of the main Italian wine producers.
