Description
La Demoiselle from Pierre Berlancourt 's cellar is a French white wine produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which grow on vines located in Puligny Montrachet.
Tasting notes
This French white on the nose opens with aromas of tropical fruits , flowers and sweet spices . In the mouth it has a freshness and a softness well balanced with the salty part. It closes on a long and persistent finish . It goes well with fish dishes or with a mushroom risotto.
Processing
After bottling, the Berlancourt Demoiselle refines a few months in glass before being put on the market.
The cellar
Pierre Berlancourt is a sommelier who worked in Paris but is originally from Haute-Savoie and since 2008 manages the Domaine Berlancourt in Meursault together with his son Adrien. The domaine originally extended over only one hectare and all the vines were in Puligny-Montrachet , more plots have recently been purchased in Auxey Duresses, Pernand Vergelesses and again Puligny. The yields at the Domaine Berlancourt are very low and the aging is longer than other Domaines, in fact they keep the wine in cask for at least 2 winters. Although there is no certification, the management is very similar to the organic / biodynamic one with the utmost respect for the soils.
