    Description

    Donnafugata 's Ben Ryé is one of the most famous Sicilian sweet wines in Italy, it is produced with Zibibbo grapes from 11 districts of the island of Pantelleria. Ben Ryé is a perfect meditation wine , it also goes perfectly with dry pastries, pies, blue cheeses and foie gras.

    Nore degustative

    Donnafugata's Ben Ryé has a golden color crossed by amber reflections. The aromatic bouquet is very intense with notes of apricot and candied orange peel enriched by Mediterranean scents . In the mouth it is fresh and the taste is that typical of withered zibibbo, to this are added fruity notes , aromatic herbs and finally honey . On the finish it is persistent characterized by mineral notes.

    Processing

    The grapes are harvested manually in small crates and taken to the cellar. Here the grapes are selected and softly pressed, subsequently fermented in steel at a controlled temperature, during this phase the ungrappled raisins are added . After that the maceration takes place during which the raisins release freshness , sweetness and aroma . Finally, the Passito di Pantelleria Ben Ryé ages for 8 months in the tank and for 12 months in the bottle .
