Description
The Blanc de Blancs by Perrier Jouët is a fine and harmonious champagne that expresses all the magnificence of this French winery, produced with Chardonnay grapes from 2 vineyards.
Tasting notes
In the glass, Perrier Jouët's Blanc de Blancs has a bright straw yellow color crossed by a very fine and very persistent bubble . The nose is fragrant and complex with floral hints of hawthorn followed by citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit. It also has mineral and honeyed smokes , while the taste is strong and round with a long and intriguing finish. Ideal for uncorking on special occasions, excellent in combination with oysters, caviar and raw fish.
Processing
After a rigorous selection, the grapes are harvested manually and fermented in stainless steel . Finally, the Blanc de Blancs matures for eight years in the maison's cellars before being put on the market.
The cellar
The maison was founded in 1811 and from the beginning it immediately distinguished itself for its elegant and refined champagnes, real works of art just like the drawings on the bottles in perfect Art Nouveau style. Dream labels produced following an ancient and precious savoir-faire that has characterized the maison for centuries.
