    Description

The Barbaresco Sori Paitin 2018 from the Patin winery, a label that has made the history of Piedmontese viticulture. This red wine comes from a vineyard located south of the town of Neive, where the soil is compact and the exposure is optimal.

    Tasting notes

Barbaresco Sori Paitin 2018 is garnet red to the eye while the nose is delicate and expresses sensations of spice, macerated fruit and balsamic touches. The taste reveals strength, but also agility, thanks to the integrated tannins and the acid boost.

    Processing

It is produced with a fermentation of 40 days in steel with the “submerged cap” technique, followed by a maturation of 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

    The Cellar

The history of the Paitin winery begins in 1796 when Benedetto Elia, nicknamed “Paitin”, bought the farmhouse located near Neive, in Piedmont. Subsequently the family bought the underground cellars for the aging of the wines. Always concentrated in the foreign export of wine, in 1893 the “Sorì Paitin” was bottled for the first time, considered to all intents and purposes one of the first Barbarescos in history. To date, the Paitin farm is still owned by the Elia family, boasts 17 hectares of vineyards planted with the typical varieties of the area, the dolcetto, the barbera, but above all the nebbiolo. Always respecting the environment, all the vineyards are now in conversion to organic, remaining faithful to tradition.
